Train-the-Trainers for Authorised Training Centres

In the drive to increase Cyber Wellness awareness, TOUCH was asked to provide “Train-the-trainer” services for Media Development Authority (MDA), to prepare Authorised Training Centres (ATCs) to conduct Cyber Wellness training for the students in Singapore.

The training helped participants appreciate the spectrum of social issues surfacing with the increased usage of the internet. Trainees were introduced to the Cyber Wellness values and associated process of derivation. They heard a range of interpretations of these “values” from a broad-based sampling of the general population. Through discussion and group work, they were also be led to articulate and refine their own interpretations.

Through a process of reflection and discussion, trainees were required to think deeper about the various values and apply them on emerging internet applications and usage patterns. The segment concluded with a discussion of the desired outcome of Cyber Wellness training.

TCS demonstrated some methods and tools that could be used in training. Trainees also experienced a typical “Project CRuSH” lesson, processed the training methods and evaluated its effectiveness.
