is the sole service provider in conducting cyber wellness workshops
for parents and educators. |

In 2004, TOUCH Cyber Wellness worked with the MDA to define the cyber wellness
framework to guide and manage the use of the Internet. This was
significant in crafting a common set of cyber wellness values for

the MDA to help other organisations to propagate the cyber wellness
message.

In December 1999, the Inter-Ministry Committee on Youth Crime (IMYC)
commissioned TOUCH Community Services to develop the contents of
a manual for parents to address the potential dangers of the Internet.
The manual was a Family Life Education Package on “Parenting
Teenagers in the Internet Age“. TOUCH proposed to complement
the manual and reach out to youths as well, through a parallel programme
of E-mentoring and roadshows for students.
In 2001, TOUCH developed CRUSH,
which stands for Cyberspace Risks and where U Seek Help - a first-of-its-kind
collaborative effort by the schools, community and the Government,
to meet real needs of the schools in helping their students surf
safely. Launched in September 2001, CRUSH
received funding from the Media Development Authority (MDA), Inter-Ministry
Committee on Youth Crime and Starhub. |
